Being Kissed A*s

Initially, me and Egg had a planned a good date by going to see Ah Niu and Ping Guan from "Puppylove Ice Kacang".

ah Niu

Ping Guan

They were having this meet-fans event at Pullman, Kuching around 7.30pm.

Since we were driving our new car, we parked our car in the basement car park for better security.

We drove gracefully and found a space with plenty of car parks. Without hesitation, we parked and leave for the event. After leaving our car for around 5 minutes, Egg asked me if I did lock the car. I rushed back to our car as I couldn't really remember.

After confirmed that our car was locked, I notice another car came and park beside us.

Let this animation show you what happened!

Guess what that idiot asked me when his car kissed my car's a*s!
He don't even know what to do when his car bumped the rear side of our car!! Is he an idiot or what! I got so pissed off that I scold him and instructed him to turn his car away =_="

Our poor Alza.....wu~wu~

That idiot said he'll pay the repairing fees then he gave us his phone number and name card. I was wondering if he later deny the incident, what should we do? report to police?

*we took pictures of his car with the plate number and even road tax number (for safety measures)

Go BOLD 2010

There was once my student asked me, “What is cancer?” After thinking for a while, I only manage to answer “It’s a disease which someone has something strange growing in their body”. Being unsatisfied with my answer, he left with question marks in his head.

Well, I do admit that Biology is my worst subject even when I’m in secondary school. Without hesitation, I googled and look for a proper information about cancer.

According to Wikipedia, cancer is a class of disease in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth (division beyond the normal limits), invasion (intrusion on and destruction of adjacent tissues), and sometimes metastasis (spread to other locations in the body via lymph or blood).

Cancer affects people at all ages which include those young children.

Jessica! She was diagnosed in 2006, at 7 years old,
with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.

Cancer is projected to become the leading cause of death worldwide in the year 2010, according to a new report the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), a division of the World Health Organization (WHO)

The percentage of people with cancer is projected to rise 45 percentage points within the two decades that are coming raising the number to 2.3 million. This is an increase from the 1.6 million cases that is projected for the year 2010.

The numbers might have freaked you out but rest assures, with our advance medical technology today, suffering from cancer doesn’t mean game over!

In Malaysia, most cancer patients will go through a medical treatment which locally called it “KEMO” which stands for Chemotherapy. Most commonly, chemotherapy acts by killing cells that divide rapidly, one of the main properties of most cancer cells.

Chemotherapy

Ana suffers from Brain Stem Glioma (tumor) and
she is going through Chemotherapy

However, Chemotherapy will also harms cells that divide rapidly under normal circumstances. Such as,

Cells in the bone marrow, which may cause myelosuppression
(decreased production of blood cells)

Cells in the digestive tract, which may cause mucositis
(inflammation of the lining of the digestive tract)

Cells in the hair follicles, which results in the most common side effects of chemotherapy alopecia (hair loss).

Hair loss is the least physically harmful side effect of cancer treatment. However, it can also be the most traumatic especially for young ladies.

The Sarawak Children's Cancer Society, had come up with a great idea to raise funds to help those children suffering from cancer.

In year 2009, they’ve organized the “Go Bald, Give Hope” event where they encourage people to donate and at the same time, having volunteers to have their head shaved as a public show of solidarity with cancer patients and their families. More importantly, this can send a very powerful message to the children that they do not have to be afraid.

Guess what, Kenny Sia was one of the volunteer that got himself balded!

In their first Go Bald campaign, 2009 (the first such event in Malaysia!), they raised a grand total of RM215,760.37!

This year, their goal is to raise RM1,000,000 for a brand new SCCS centre that will offer an unprecedented level of care and support for child cancer patients in Sarawak:

SCCS centre

• Specially-designed accommodation for visiting patients and their families. Some of these families have to travel for 7 hours just to treat their children!

• Improved amenities, facilities and resources for the treatment of cancer patients. SCCS wants to make their stay in Kuching as productive as it is positive.

Do you think you can give some hope and support to these children? You are always welcome to donate. How to donate?? Simple! Just bank in to either of these accounts :

Sarawak Children's Cancer Society,

Muamalat Bank
(Account Number : 11010000534713)

CIMB Bank
(Account Number : 11030003616050)

Please email info@sccs.org.my your slip once you have made the payment.

If you are have the passion towards charity works, do join them in their coming event “Go Bald 2010” on 16th May 2010 @ South court, The Spring and be Balded! For more information, please visit http://gobald.my/ and http://sccs.org.my/

*erm..can I cut number 2? Teachers are not allowed to bald their head totally -_-"(yolk)
