Looking for hotel in Kuching?

To be honest, as a kuchingnite, I seldom stay in local hotels (after all, i have my own house >_<) and because of this, whenever, there are friends from other places wanted to visit Kuching, I have no idea where to recommend them. I roughly know the few "popular" hotels but as for their rating, I have no idea at all o_O".

So today we would like to blog about a nice little hotel in Kuching.

Just yesterday, we were given a chance to stay at 360 Urban Resort Hotel Kuching. This hotel gave us such a great impression that we'll surely recommend our friends to stay here when they come to Kuching. Wonder what makes us feel that way? Read on!

First of all, the price!
We stayed in their Superior Twin Room which cost RM 155 (normal) and RM 99 (low season). Ok, I can assure you that even at this price, the hotel is not those crappy stone-aged hotel with buzzing air-conditioner.

Let's look at the lobby. Very spacious, very cozy and very modern.

After checking in, we go straight to our room in the 7th flloor.
It's not the well designed corridors that attract us, but the Digital panels door bell! After staying in hotels in different states, this is the 1st time that we saw digital panels like this! (sorry for our kampung-ness >_<) Instead of using the typical door signs, they used this digital panel.
We continued into the room and we were very impressed! I think we won't get to enjoy the leisure of hotel like this with this type of price else where! Here's some combo pictures of the interior of the room.
Even the controls in the room was degitalised. Awesome!
As for Egg, she'll check the toilet and make sure it's clean. After checking, she gave a thumbs up! It's very spacious and of course, CLEAN!
They even provide the very cute bottles of shampoo :D
After looking thoroughly of the room, it's time to rest! zzzZZZZzzzzZZZZZ

By the way, each room comes with complimentary breakfast for two.

I guess, this is the only part we were not satisfy about the whole thing. The food provided in the breakfast buffet was way too limited. Not only in their variety, but also the quantity. The management should make sure there's enough food for everyone or else, such great dining environment will be wasted. Let me name the food available (without pictures) fried mee hoon, Nasi lemak (sambal paste and peanuts), fried popiah, tomato bake beans, white porridge and Fried eggs. To be honest, we only ate some fried mee hoon and some fried eggs.

That's basically how we felt about this hotel and we gave 5/5 for the environment and facilities, but 1/5 of the breakfast buffet. Hopefully they will improve the food in the future.

If you wondered about the transportation, the hotels do provide transportation to airport and also the city center.
So if you're coming to Kuching, do head over to 360 and you might just have a great night without burning your wallet >_<

Getting a pet 3

After the long wait, we hereby present you the new member of our little family!!! The Egg Yolks & KikiLala. If you wonder how we got our pets, please refer to our previous blog post, getting a pet 1, getting a pet 2

Here's the real picture of them. The little brown girl is Lala while the white guy is Kiki ^^ So, they are known as KIKILALA (not the kids clothings brand)

If you wonder what type of puppies are they, they are actually known as ChiPoo. Their dad is a poodle while their mom is a chihuahua. That's why Lala looks more like chihuahua (since she's a girl) and Kiki looks more like his dad :D
These two little guys were so active that they keep running around whenever they were out of the cage >_< . They even banged my washing machines few times when they were chasing one another =_="
Even though they were only with us for around 2 weeks, they've already learn few tricks! Not bad for a first timer aye? hehe..
Whenever they are tired, they'll just lay down showing you these "cute" face! :D
So, do you feel like adopting one?? XD

Rev-Cup Party @ Euphoria by Ministry of Sound

This might sounds crazy but we went all the way to KL just for the Rev-Up Party! This is not any ordinary party but only Rev-ers attends it!

When we were invited, it was around 1 week ago and we were kind of rushed when we booked both our flight and hotel. After browsing around, we found that Firefly has better rates for last minute bookings so we booked it right away.
It was a nice flight and everything was punctual. That's what I liked about firefly, punctuality. Anyway, we went straight to Sunway Pyramid from KLIA by the limo cab and it cost us RM63.80. Is that consider expensive or just normal?

When we finally reached Euphoria (after an hour ride) it was almost 6:30pm and the main entrance was filled with people!
Since we were in the winner list, we were allowed to go into the venue before others! :P We headed straight to the winner's registration booth.
There were few activities prepared by Revive for all the Rev-ers while waiting for the event to start such as bull rides, rev-up photo sessions and of course, babes Revive's Angels!! (*smacked by Egg in the head)
Revive even prepared the Hall of Fames for all the Rev'd-up photos taken during the competition! Quite a few of our pictures were framed there! (*proud)
This party was so GRAND that even Angry Birds was in the list of VVIP guest!!
Don't mess with the birds =_=" They were ANGRY!
Guess who we met? The Grand prize winner! Sky Blue!! You know how much he won? A hard cold RM9,000 in total!
It was our 1st time visiting this cool club in Sunway and it was certainly a great experience for both of us! Here's the combo pictures for the hall and dance floors!

And here comes the moment of truth! The announcement of all winners in the competition!
After the event, it was almost 12 am and we were starving! (only light food was served during the party) Thanks to Kelvin, who brought us to eat one of the best Roti in KL, Roti Hawaii @ Murni. Not forgetting our grand prize winner Rachel who treated us this awesome meal!!
Too bad we didn't get to camwhore around (due to our shyness) but anyway, it was a great event and we met a lot of new friends too! Hope that we will have more chances to join this type of event in the future! :D

That's all for now! *preparing to finish my "Getting a pet 3"
